Part I - Hong Kong Trip

A very happy family flew to Hong Kong via MAS for their 5-days shopping spree (and my eating spree). As recommended, this time we stayed in Royal Plaza Hotel, 帝京酒店.

I was impressed by the condition of the room, spacious, clean and looks like it was renovated not long ago. They even provide us with a LCD TV and two well-spaced Queen size beds.

The first thing which caught my eyes is the LV-bag cake, displayed in the hotel cake shop.

The hotel has a direct-link to Grand Century Plaza (i.e. the largest shopping mall in Mongkok) and 8-min walk to Ladies' Market via a bridge (it took us much longer due to the people-traffic). After checking in, we went straight to explore and food-hunt at the same time.

After walking through a market and making a few wrong turnings in a freezing cold day (with empty stomaches), we finally settled in a restaurant where I have my duck noodles. I was also asked to stop snapping pictures in the restaurant (Ish %#@).

After that, we walked from Day
till Night

On our way back, we stopped by Hui Lao Shan 许留山 for some hot dessert. This little shop is always packed with people. When the waitress saw us walking in, she quickly point us to the table where two guys were still occupying. She quickly showed them the bill and asked to leave (Gosh, how rude..) Anyway, we had their famous mango pudding and a winter set (that comes with Loh Bak Gou and Red Bean Soup). It was fabulous, best to known *slurp*.

I spent the nigh with Blue Girl (Hong Kong brewer of traditional German lager) in La Fontana. This in-house lounge provides live boring music - *yawn*
